In January 2023, Ian surprised Mimi with a trip to Orcas Island. Considering the multitude of months of patiently waiting for him to propose, Mimi knew immediately what was happening. Sure enough, on their second day on the Island, Ian took Mimi on a hike they had been on four years prior - and made an absolute fool of himself. Luckily, Mimi still said yes.
